Frequently Asked Questions

How do I know if therapy is right for me?

You don't need to be in crisis to benefit from therapy. Many people seek support for anxiety, stress, relationship challenges, life transitions, perinatal concerns, or simply a desire to better understand themselves and create positive change.

What can I expect during our first session?

Our first session is an opportunity to get to know one another. We'll discuss your concerns, goals, relevant history, and what you hope to gain from therapy. You'll also have a chance to ask questions and determine whether we're a good fit.

How long does therapy take?

The length of therapy varies depending on your goals and needs. Some clients benefit from short-term support focused on a specific concern, while others choose longer-term therapy for deeper exploration and ongoing growth.

I currently offer 30 minute and 60 minute appointment slots, with the duration of support depending on personal needs.

Are you covered by insurance?

Many extended health benefit plans provide coverage for services offered by Registered Psychotherapists. I recommend checking with your insurance provider to confirm your specific coverage and reimbursement details.

Do I need to be experiencing pregnancy or postpartum concerns to work with you?

Not at all. While I have a special interest in perinatal mental health, I also support clients experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship challenges, life transitions, stress, and concerns related to self-esteem, identity, and emotional wellbeing.

Why do you offer online therapy only?

Virtual therapy makes it easier to access support in a way that is flexible, convenient, and comfortable. Many clients appreciate being able to attend sessions from their own space, reducing travel time and making therapy more accessible while maintaining the same level of care and connection.
